We had a fun night last month at Sew Sociable with our favorite bag making cause – Morsbags.
Rosie and ‘new’ Sue came along to show us how to make a Morsbag.
Rosie talked a bit about how the cause started and what its all about. You can read more about Morsbags on their website here.
As the traditional Morsbag bell had been misplaced we had a bit of fun and used the bell behind the bar to let everyone know a Morsbag had been completed.
Donna completed the first Morsbag of the evening. During the evening a total of 15 bags were made.
At the end of the evening we had a fun race to see who could make a Morsbag in the fastest time. I was chuffed to come first with 8.30 minutes followed by Sarah at 10 mins and Emma and Rosie did it in 12 minutes. All pretty respectable times I think!
While waiting to load up the car, we were serenaded by a busker, who got Guerrilla bagged by Rosie! I’m not sure that was what he was hoping for but he took it well!
The next event is coming up this Friday. The crafty Sew and So team are running a fun cat mascot making workshop in association with Sew magazines ‘Sew Saturday’. Come along and have fun sewing and socializing. All ages and skill levels welcome.
